Quick and Easy Peasy: Sausage and Peppers

I call this my Quick and Easy Peasy Sausage and Peppers because it is perfect to make any night of the week and is great to make with left over Sausage! In our house we grill or cook a lot of Sausage at one time. You can use any type of Sausage whether it is Spicy Italian, Sweet Italian, Chicken, or Bangers( yes, Bangers. lol.) In fact, tofu would be good as well.

What You’ll Need:

– Cooked Sausage Cut into Slices
– Bag of Frozen Peppers and Onion Mix
– Favorite Sauce (We love Barilla Roasted Garlic)
– Parmesan Cheese
– Dry Parsley

Heat up a skillet on your stove and then place Sausage in to warm up if needed. Next, place as much or as little frozen Peppers and Onion Mix into the skillet. I cook them for about 3 minutes then add some water. Cover them for about 3 more minutes or until tender. Finally, add enough sauce to cover the mixture (again more or less works for whatever you’d like.) parmesan Cheese, and a dash of dry parsley. Stir and let the flavors marry together for about 2 or so minutes just to heat the sauce. Viola! You are done!

Put this over pasta or on a delicious roll and BAM! Dinner is served! My family loves this dish. I make it once or twice a week.

Hair Detox 101: Baking Soda Rinse

I have had a lot of coloring and heat on my hair over the years. After a while from using products, shampoo, coloring, and heat on my hair – It begins to build up and my hair goes limp. I found a solution that is totally inexpensive and so beyond easy to do at home in your own shower.

Baking Soda Rinse

What You’ll Need:
– Baking Soda
– Water
– Plastic Cup
– Spoon

I created a paste in the cup with about as much as I thought I would need just to cover the roots of my hair. You do not want to put this on your ends as it will make you hair knotty and dry. Once in the shower with your cup place and massage just enough paste in your scalp. Now go and shave your legs and wash up. After 3 or so minutes rinse your hair out a few times then proceed with your regular routine of shampoo and conditioner.

I found this to be amazing! My hair felt fresh and like I had jus spent time in the salon. I have no clue why but my hair was fabulous. It was soft and looked great after my usual blow drying and straightening. I highly recommend doing this if you over work your hair like I do.

Happy Hair Days Ahead!

Irena Sendler – a hero!

Have you ever heard of a woman named Irena Sendler? I never have. In my eyes she should win the Nobel Peace Prize every year. She is someone that our children should learn about in school.  She should be in history books! She risked her life to save 2500 children during WWII. Then after the war tried her best to reunite the children with their families if the family was still alive. God bless this woman!
